Who we are
Our Passion and Commitment to Quality Fish
Plecos and More was founded out of a lifelong passion for aquariums and fish. David’s journey began in childhood, working in stores and later importing from Hong-Kong, Singapore and Srilanka tropical fish to help pay for his college education. Due to 35 surgeries, David has shifted his focus to this venture, ensuring he can dedicate the time and care that each fish deserves.
We believe in giving back
A portion of sales goes to orphanages in Thailand, when we go there in person we help and donate time and resources to orphanages, to help kids get a better chance at life.
With over 50 years in the fishkeeping world, we bring unmatched knowledge and passion to every fish we provide.
From wild-caught to captive-bred, we import rare and unique tropical fish from trusted sources across the globe.
We focus on healthy, sustainable practices — striving for F1 captive-bred fish to support long-term conservation.

What sets us apart is our direct sourcing approach; we bypass Asian wholesalers to buy directly from breeders, farmers and local fishers who catch the fish, including those who specialize in South American tropical fish. David’s wife, originally from Thailand, travels to hand-pick most of our fish, ensuring we receive only the highest quality specimens.
